Managed and oversaw US operations for the Consulting and Equipping Division for Orthopedic Facilities. Otto Bock Health Care is the world’s largest and most prominent supplier for prosthetic components. Consulting services include design of orthopedic facilities as well as sales for equipment involved in creation of orthopedic components.
Managerial Accomplishments & Responsibilities:
- Developed and established marketing campaigns which resulted in a 200% increase in sales for 2009 & 2010
- Created proposals and contracts; and tactfully maintained client relationships; Clients included U.S. Dept. of VA, U.S. DOD (Dept of Defense) and private facilities across the U.S.
- Oversaw all aspects of each project: including sales meetings, contract executions, project timelines, design of facilities, budget estimates, installation of equipment, training of personnel and quality control

Field Service Engineer
Employed directly out of college into the corporate giant where main duties required traveling to Nuclear Power Plants across the nation to perform unique and plant-specific tasks. Power Outages are when the plants “power down” to allow maintenance and service on equipment. Field Engineers direct and manage these projects which run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (through holidays) until the project is completed. Common shift hours were around 13-15 hours a day, and the outages lasted from 2 weeks to 4 months, depending on the scope of work.
Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant (Unit 1) – High Pressure Turbine Task Manager
- Directed and supervised a labor force of over 40 mechanics, technicians, and machinist on a $125 million turbine retrofit project, which included new rotors and internal components
- Determined daily work, created and updated the schedule, created the work packages and ensured compliance, and organized safety procedures
- Developed strategic and operational plans for the work group, managed execution, and measured the results
- Oversaw all floor activities related to electrical requirements, disassembly/reassembly of high pressure turbine, critical measurements and clearances, precise machining, and logistics
- Acted as liaison between the customer, workforce, and engineers in district offices to provide correct execution of scope of work
Sequoyah Nuclear Plant – Floor Engineer for Major Turbine Inspections
- Directed and supervised millwrights, contract labor supervisors, and turbine bladders in major inspection on Low Pressure Turbine rotating and stationary components
- Determined daily work, created and updated scheduling, created work packages and ensured compliance, and organized safety procedures
- Assisted and coordinated with TVA plant personnel to ensure that the proper parts, tools and consumables were acquired for the outage
Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plan (Unit 2) – Logistics Task Manager
- Coordinated transportation of 2 ½ million lbs worth of components from Germany to plant
- Determined the power requirements for the project and directed implementation
- Created laydown of plant (AutoCAD) after examining floor loading and component clearances
- Calculated all rigging for the new components
